PLAYERS and officials of the Nigerian para-table tennis team have raised the alarm over the threat to their participation in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games qualifiers scheduled to hold in Morocco from October 2 to 11, 2015.

The team say they have no money to attend the qualifiers and therefore, are pleading with the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Alhassan Yakmut, to come to their rescue.

With factor 20 holding from October 2 to 7 and factor 50 running from October 7 to11, the players say they have been training everyday for the past three years since 2012 without any competition, hence the need for them to be sponsored to Morocco.

They believe the Morocco event will give them the opportunity to re-launch themselves in Africa and pick the slots for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
