Platoon Six wins Cowbell NYSC women volleyball tourney
Platoon Six has won the Lagos NYSC Batch A, Stream Two Women Volleyball Championship, sponsored by Promasidor Nigeria, makers of Cowbell, Top Tea and Onga.
The match played over the weekend at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, Jackpot saw the champions defeating Platoon Five 2-1 after a fascinating encounter that lasted about 90 minutes.
Udeh Doreen Chiamaka of Platoon Six also emerged as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match witnessed by top officials of the NYSC and Promasidor Nigeria, Livesport as well as other volleyball enthusiasts.
At the end of the event, Virtual Lagos State NYSC Director, Mr. Cyril Akhanemhe, handed the trophy to the captain of Platoon Six team. He praised Promasidor Nigeria’s efforts towards the success of the tournament, noting that the championship has provided a platform for the state’s NYSC to fish for quality talents for the state and the nation at international championships.
Also speaking at the event, Regional Sales Manager, online sports betting Promasidor Nigeria, Mr. Uduak Isang, who had earlier presented medals to the silver-winning Platoon Five, commended the teams for the determination and spirit of sportsmanship they displayed in the finals.
He promised that Promasidor Nigeria would continue to support sports and healthy lifestyles among Nigerian youth.
