Rio 2016 Olympic Games quarterfinalist, Aruna Quadri, has pleaded with the Federal Ministry of Sports to come to the aid of Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) in order to be part of this month’s 2016 ITTF African Senior Championships, which will hold in Agadir, Morocco from December 24 to Sunday 30.

Already, the President of African Table tennis Federation (ATTF), Khaled El-Salhy, has warned that any country that missed the Morocco event would not be part of the 2017and 2018 World Championships.

According to ATTF, the Morocco tourney serves as qualification for the 2017 and 2018 World Championships based on the African quota for the global championship.

The 2014 ITTF Star Player said the tournament would afford them the opportunity to confirm their supremacy over their continental rivals, Egypt, as well as an opportunity to secure the sole slot for the 2017 World Team Cup.

“I have started my preparation for the Morocco championships because it is important we do well and I hope we will be able be there because if we fail to go, we will not be able to participate at the 2017 World Championships in Germany.
