AFTER securing a place in the semi final in the on-going African Youth Championship, Senegal 2015, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria will today clash with Cote d’Ivoire in their final group game. Nigeria already has six points in the two matches played against the host Senegal, and Congo.

Flying Eagles Assistant Coach, Nduka Ugbade, said yesterday while speaking on a radio programme from the team’s camp in Senegal that the team was ready for any country that comes their way in the semi final.
Ugbade traveled alongside one official in the team’s technical department, Rafiu Yusuf, to watch the matches involving South Africa and Mali as well as the clash between Ghana and Zambia.

He assured Nigerians yesterday that there was no reason to panic ahead the semi final, saying that the Flying Eagles are prepared to do the nation proud.

“We are not afraid of any team. Nigeria is ready to meet Ghana or Mali. Our semi final opponent might be against Mali, but like I said, there is no cause for alarm. We believe so much in our players, though in the game of football anything can happen.

“Our problem now is not the semifinal opponent, but how to go about the game against Cote d’Ivoire tomorrow (today) because we will like to prosecute the semi final match with our full strength devoid of injuries. We have organised ourselves in such a way that any player can fit into the team,” he said.
