Green House football team of Maryland Convent Private School celebrating their victory at the school’s 17th annual inter-house sports competition.

St. Augustine Planque House (Blue House) has won the Maryland Convent Private School (M.C.P.S) 17th biennial Inter-house sports festival, which was sponsored by Chikki Instant Noodles.

The fierce competition, which took place at the Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School, featured keenly competed games with huge participation not just from the pupils, but parents, teachers and old students as well as invited schools.

Blue House topped the table with 10 gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals, Green House came second with eight gold, four silver and three bronze medals.

In third position was Red house with six gold, two silver and seven bronze medals, while fourth positioned White House had four gold, six silver and seven bronze medals, leaving Yellow House in the fifth position with three gold, five silver and six bronze medals.

Matilda Taiwo of Green House was decorated the overall best athlete of the completion.

Speaking at the event, the Head teacher, Rev. Sr. Gladys Osagie, OLA, restated the school’s commitment to the all-round development of the pupils, as well as encouraged them to participate actively in both academic and extra-curricular activities.

Chikki Instant Noodles sponsored the competition as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, as well as to encourage the participation of pupils in extracurricular activities for their all round development.
