TWENTY-four schools from Alimosho Local Council of Lagos Sate are expected to participate in the maiden Tee and Tife Oil Inter School Competition, which is expected to kick off on February 9, 2016.

Unveiling plans for the competition on Tuesday, the competition will give the participating schools the opportunity to discover talents from the secondary and primary schools.

In the draws held in Lagos, the organisers revealed that Shalom, Tender Gate, Impressive College and Effortswill are the top seeds in groups A to D respectively, adding that the seven-a-side tourney will start with private schools in Alimosho before it becomes a state competition.

Speaking at the draws, the Managing Director of Tee and Tife Oil, Toyin Sodipo, expressed satisfaction with plans for the competition, saying, “Our sole aim of kicking off this kind of competition is to make Alimosho a beehive of talented football players and to groom them in their chosen career.

“Most of these kids are better when they start small, and we will make sure that they grow in it. It is also part of our social corporate responsibility to give out, that is why we decided to venture into football.”
