UNIJOS, UNN, others prepare for rematch as HiFL resumes today

In the first game of the day, OAU Giants will host UI Pioneers in the return leg of their tie at the Obafemi Awolowo University Sports Complex. The first leg ended in an exciting 3-3 draw.

In Zaria, ABU Nobles will welcome Unilorin Warriors to the ABU Stadium, while in Kwale, DELSU Titans entertain Sharks of Uniport in a crucial duel that will see either of the teams qualify for the next round.

Rounding off the matches is the UAM Tillers, who will fancy their chances after holding UNIMAID Dessert Warriors to a 1-1 draw in Maiduguri.

Meanwhile, the HiFL has announced that there will be a replay of two of its last return leg fixtures. The matches include Unijos Highlanders versus ATBU Brave Hearts, which was played in Jos and the UNICAL Malabites versus UNN Lions match held in Calabar a fortnight ago.

Explaining the replays, chairman, technical review committee of the league, Alhaji Ahmed Gara Gombe said they became necessary as the two matches were inconclusive, adding they would be played behind closed doors in neutral locations, FCT Abuja and Umudike, Abia State respectively.
