Washington adopts six Nigerian baseball, softball teams
A united State-based DC Knights Youths Sports in Washington DC has adopted six baseball and softball teams in Nigeria from Little League International and offered them full sponsorship.
This was contained in a message from its founder, Mr. Gerald Hall, to the District Administrator of Little League International, Nigeria, Mr. Kehinde Laniyan, which was made available to The Guardian at the weekend in Akure.
According to the message, Hall, who is also a coach, said his organisation had adopted a baseball and softball team in Owena League in Akure, Ondo State, and he is also in contact with another sporting organisation to complete the adoption of four other teams in Ibadan,
Oyo State.
The message also stated the commitment of Mr. Hall in offering support to the Little League International through sponsorship of one baseball and softball team in the areas of jerseys, pants/shorts, caps/visor, belt, socks gloves, catchers, bats and other sporting equipment.
