‘We’ ll use Tanzania game as warning signal to our World Cup opponents’
Super Eagles players have boosted that they will use today’s 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, as warning signal to their opponents in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, stated that the Eagles, who hard their last walk out at the Nest of Champions last night, will gave a good account of themselves in today’s encounter.
Ibitoye also declared that the practice game against Akwa United on Wednesday had given coach Gernot Rohr an insight on individual brilliance of the players.
“The Eagles are ready to battle Tanzania. The team and their opponent had their last training session Friday night and they are already set for the showdown. The game will hold by 5pm. We don’t have injury worries in the Super Eagles camp. All hands are on deck for the success of the tie,” he said.
