Winners to get N1m at Adron Homes Games

Winners in the third Adron Homes Games, scheduled to run from October 12 to 14 at the Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex, will get various prizes ranging from N1 million to N500, 000, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the competition has revealed.

The Games is a competition that brings the company’s members of staff from all the zones together and also gives Adron Homes’ public the opportunity to contest for honours.

At a news conference to herald this year’s edition in Lagos, the athletes were divided into six regions, with the regions’ representatives picking their team’s kits colours ahead of the competition.

Speaking on the competition, the LOC chairman, Wale Asifat said arrangement has been made to make this edition special.

He listed the regions as Island (Blue and Orange kits), mainland (lemon and white), Powerhouse which is the Head office (lemon and black), Unbeatables from Ibadan (lemon and green), Abuja High fliers (lemon and orange) and Ogun state goal getters (red and black).

They will compete for honours in football, athletics and volleyball.

An LOC member, Tunde Sofowora added that there would be a challenge event for the public.

“We are trying to carry the public along and the first prize for the challenge is N1 million, second is N750, 000, third is N500, 000 and fourth is N250, 000.  The public will have to register to participate,” Sofowora said.

A former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia was at the event as the games ambassador while ace actor, Saheed Balogun, also witnessed the event as Adron Ambassador.
