FIEF Academy inter-house sports

It was a day worthy to be remembered, as students of FIEF Academy, Okota, Lagos, gathered to witness the school’s 2018 annual inter-house sports competition, held recently at the NPA Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos, with Al-Rahman (Red) House emerging the overall winner with 19 gold medals.

Al-Hayyu (Blue) House came second with 15 gold medals, while Al-Qayyum (Green) House came third with 13 gold medals, while Al-Raheem (Yellow) House came fourth with 11 gold medals.

Mrs. Akanni was chairperson of the day, while Mrs. Mariam Mansur Williams was Mother of the day. The founder of the Academy, His Eminence Sheikh (Prince) Muhammad Mansur Al-Mansur Williams also graced the event and Mr. Ajetumobi was Master of Ceremony.

The students competed in short and long distance races, long and high jump, picking the balls, filling the bottles, swimming, shot put, table tennis, scrabble, tug of war, football and weightlifting.

His Eminence Sheikh (Prince) Muhammad Mansur Al-Mansur Williams, while presenting trophies to winners at the end of the event, thanked the sport coordinators and organising committee for their effort in putting up the beautiful event.

He urged the students to excel and be the best in whatever endeavour they aspire collectively and individually in life.

The colourful event was attended by parents, friends, well-wishers and other guests, who participated in the invitation relay.
