WE need to believe that when God tells us to arise and shine, it means our glory is risen already. However, until we do what He has asked us to do, the glory will not manifest in our lives. Stop focusing on your situation or your problem; instead, focus on the problem solver.

The psalmist wrote in Psalm 121:1 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord Who made heaven and earth.” We have no other source but God. He has created us for greatness and not for lack. Jeremiah 29:11 states, “For I know the thoughts I have towards you says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

One of the greatest sins we can commit against our lives is to doubt the word of God. All we need to live successfully is obedience to His word. Whatever He tells us to do at any moment, we need to do it because it might just be the key to the miracle that we are seeking. The reason that we doubt God’s Word is because we lack understanding. Hosea 4:6 states “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me.” When you reject the Word of God, you reject His miracles, His blessings and His abundance.

The reason the spirit of poverty operates in the lives of some people is because they do not understand the principles of giving. The Bible tells us in Luke 6:38, “Give and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” We can determine the level of our prosperity; if we want a little, then we should give a little; but if we want a lot, then we should give a lot. Genesis 8:22 tells us that before you harvest, you must sow. In the same way, before we receive our blessings, then we need to obey.

God is very particular about His Word, because He knows that the secret to our prosperity and abundance is in obedience to It. His word opens the gate to prosperity into our lives. If the Lord speaks a word concerning your life, then it must come to pass. In Matthew 8:8, the centurion told Jesus “Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.” The centurion knew that once Jesus spoke a word, it would come to pass.

The Bible tells us that the Lord values His Word more than His Name and the reason for this can be found in John 1:1 which states, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God,” and in John 1:14 which continues, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Jesus was the Word.
