NOLLYWOOD actress Uru Eke has taken a shot at producing with her movie, Remember Me, through her not-for-profit organization, Chime Foundation.

The movie centres on accountability, transparency and corruption. It stars some of the finest actors in the industry such as O.C. Ukeje, Victor Olaotan, Femi Jacobs, Anthony Marjaro, Eyinna Nwigwe and Chigul. It is directed by Izu Okukwu and co-produced by Neville Ossai while the associate producer is Bola Aduwo. The script was also written by Uru Eke and screen played by Onyinye Egenti.

The story is about a community where the rights of the poor and vulnerable are trampled on, where natural resources are stolen and witnesses are silenced. It takes a very brave man to stand up for what is just and true. Micheal (O.C Ukeje) is that man and as he wades through incriminating evidence of the nation’s biggest organisations, finds an unwilling helper in Harida (Uru Eke), and together, they try to overcome insurmountable odds with the arsenal of information at their disposal.

The movie is a captivating action-packed story about a young girl’s struggle as well as her fight to reveal the truth about one of the most corrupt organisations in the country.

While speaking on the project, Eke said although corruption is something that affects the world, “but I didn’t want to dwell on aspect of embezzlement. I chose an aspect of it that many people are not aware of and one that the affected people usually don’t have what it takes to fight”.

Remember Me is powered by REDTV, United Bank for Africa (UBA), Bellanaija, Yudala and PulseTV.
