Where you are today, without any doubt, is a product of what you were thinking yesterday and your tomorrow will be determined by what you are thinking right now. You’ve got to change your thinking, if things must go right with your life.

You cannot have a new life without a new mind. You cannot have a successful marriage, if all you think is that “Women are necessary evils” or “all men are wicked or liars.” You must see the marriage that God has in mind for you. What you do not see you cannot get.

What you see is what God delivers to you. What you cannot see, God is not permitted to give to you. Stop thinking that husbands or men are scarce or not available. The Bible says:

“Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen; for I will hasten my word to perform it” (Jer 1:11,12)

The question now is: what do you see about your future? What you see is what God performs. God told Abraham that as far as his eyes could see, He would deliver unto him (Gen 13:13,14). What do you see about your future? What do you see about your marriage? I saw a hitch-free marriage many years before I got married, and that is why I am enjoying it today. There are individuals that always see negatively and think negatively, no matter their circumstances.

Even when things are going well, they still think it might not last. When they are in good relationship, they become apprehensive about everything, and begin to imagine that things may not work or that something bad might happen.

And when it happens, they claim to have seen it. They have anticipated it and the issue is that no one can restrain whatever you have imagined from happening unto you. In Genesis 11 verse 6 the Bible says:

“And the Lord said, behold the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Your imagination is powerful. But rather than using it negatively against your life, you can decide to use it positively to your advantage. You can imagine the kind of sister or brother you are trusting God for. You can imagine having a glorious marriage void of arguments, strife and rancour. You can imagine yourself sitting down peacefully with your spouse and your three or four children surrounding your table.

Some are not yet married, but they are already afraid that they might be barren or find it difficult to deliver their children while pregnant. Just like the Bible says during the time of Noah, the imaginations of some today are perpetually evil. Please understand that whatever you imagine will soon find its way to your life.

Why don’t you go on an adventure with God’s word and search out all that God has to say about your marriage, your life partner, your wedding and begin to see them come to pass in your life? Close your eyes a little and go into the world of imagination with the truth you have discovered from God’s word. God said as far as your eye can see, He will give it unto you.

Negative thinking or stinking thinking is an enemy of progress, and you must get rid of it in your life. So many have listened to the wrong voices and they have built their belief system on those negative premises.

Many will tell you today that they are ready to marry just anyone because they believe men are scarce. You must never come to a point where you begin to consider “just anybody” because you are not an ordinary person. You are special, unique and loaded.

You are endowed by God, and must not see yourself as a cheap commodity. Never give yourself to anyone you are not sure of his/her love or someone who does not value or respect you. Above all, you need someone that loves the Lord absolutely.
