Everyone always receives two messages, the one that brings sorrow and the one that brings joy. Messages are given to people daily consciously or subconsciously, and even on your way out.
Someone might say to you, “Auntie, you seem to have started growing grey hair.” What does this mean? It means you’re growing old but nothing to show forth.
A man named King Hezekiah fell ill and was given a negative message about his medical condition. Different doctors ran tests on him, but no solution was found.
Not long after, Prophet Samuel visited him, hoping to get a positive message, but the message from the prophet was not different.
King Hezekiah thought to himself, “Finally, my deliverance has arrived,” but he was greatly mistaken. The prophet said to him: “O king, thus says the Lord, put your house in order for this ailment is unto death.”
He thought of all his unaccomplished dreams, ambitions, etc.
You may be in that same situation now, with a negative message. Do not panic, for the Bible made me to understand that “God knows the thought He has for us, the thought of good and not of evil, even to give to us an expected end.”
On remembering God’s word, he turned towards the wall and reminded God of His promises. In the old days, if anyone does anything of great importance, they usually inscribe it on their wall.
So, looking at his works in God’s kingdom, he began to remind God. God looked again at His book of mercy and discovered the message sent to king Hezekiah was a wrong one.
God added 15 more years to his lifetime. God changed the message and sent him a new one.
Whoever shall say a thing by and it will correct me to pass, when Jehovah God has not commanded it? No one.
God has the final say over your life, irrespective of the negative messages you have been receiving. Never mind them, just focus on what He said concerning you.
Work in His vineyard, so that He will have a reason to change your message. God bless you.
