Nigerian youths have been urged to have the fear of God in order to develop and make progress in life.

Making the call in an address in celebration of the nation’s 57th independence anniversary, an educationist and visitor to Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, Dr. Ola Adebogun said achieving greatness is possible, if only Nigerian youths would do things right and avoid the get-rich-quick mentality that has prompted many of them to look for short-cuts.

He stated that as there is order in heaven, every activity that would be beneficial also has a process, and youths must be taught how to get it right and avoid compromises, especially as the get-rich-quick syndrome has led to compromising quality and lack of enduring institutions.

He, however, urged the young ones not to despair because of the state of the nation’s education sector, but endeavour to continue to develop their talents to be role models, be conscious of eternity, so as not to mortgage their future and to strive to leave a good legacy.
