The Kingdom of Light Ministries (KLM), in collaboration with the Kingdom Care Group, a department within the church, last Saturday, organised free medical care for people living around the church’s corporate headquarters in Idimu, Lagos State.

According to the Presiding Pastor of the church, Dr. Samson Makinwa, the yearly event, which started seven years ago, aims at touching the lives of people, especially those who cannot afford to take care of themselves.

The programme, which had medical doctors in different areas of specialisation, nurses and paramedical personnel on ground to attend to different patient needs, also featured health talk, aside free blood group test, free diabetes and hypertension screening and treatment, free drugs, free glasses and general check ups.

Urging people to always be aware of their health status, Makinwa said that the body is glowing presently and with no pain, does not mean the individual is 100 per cent free from sickness. It is not until people go for regular medical check ups that they can confidently say they are okay. He noted that regular medical check ups help to detect sickness and diseases early for easy treatment and cure.

He explained that this year’s programme is different, because of the spiritual angle added to it. According to him, over N2m was spent on the project.
