Greater success could be achieved, if more efforts are geared towards focusing on God more than on the leaders and politicians, because in Him lies our hope and aspirations to have a better Nigeria. These were the words of the Diocesan Bishop, Lagos Central Diocese, The African Church, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Gabriel T. Adebanjo.

Adebanjo said: “Nigeria is a great nation the Almighty has chosen for Himself, and we can only fulfil His will, if proper strategies and innovations are employed to ensure a more purposeful redirection of focus in all spheres.”

Speaking at the 2017 Diocesan Harvest tagged: “Harvest of Good News” held recently at The African Church Bethlehem Cathedral, Ebutte-Meta, Lagos, Adebanjo explained that the event was in commemoration of the yearly Shiloh in which the children of Israel gathered together to appreciate God.

He said: “And as a diocese with over six parishes, we have gathered here today to appreciate God for His blessings and goodness all through the year and to look up to Him with faith for the coming year.

“Several testimonies abound in our midst on yearly basis, because we’ve learnt to exercise total faith in God and see Him doing the miraculous in our lives in the New Year.”

Chairperson, Harvest Committee, Mrs. Abolade Ajala said: “We are indeed grateful to God, as a nation, church and individual because we can’t deny the fact that He is a faithful God that keeps and preserves His own. 2017 Harvest of Good News is a success and we pray that good news will not cease from the house of every individual.”
