The bi-annual World Anointing programme of the Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry Interdenominational, which held recently at the ODM headquarters, Orioke Ogudu, Ojota, Lagos, brought thousands of people from Nigeria and Africa to seek God’s face. The event, which held after a 14-day fasting, was organised by the publisher of Our Daily Manna (ODM) and General Overseer of the church, Bishop (Dr.) Chris Kwakpovwe.

Prayer sessions and songs of worship heralded it, especially as it affects the society today. The congregation worshipped in true adoration, with the belief that their ‘Delays in life are over.’ Speaking on the theme: “Delay is Over”, Bishop Kwakpovwe, who spoke in between giving prophetic declarations and prayer points, said sometimes, God allows problems in people’s lives because He wants to be glorified.

“In the case of Lazarus in John 11:1-45, Jesus delayed for four days before Lazarus was raised. The Bible recorded that his corpse was already decomposing, when God took the honour of bringing him back to life, and that is how much God wants us to trust in His words,” he said.

Citing another example in the Bible, Bishop Kwakpovwe said at the wedding feast in Canaan, as recorded in the New Testament of John 2:1-10, God allowed Jesus Christ to arrive late, which led to performing His first miracle of turning water to wine. And it turned out to be the best wine at the ceremony. “Why did the best wine come last? Of course, it was to show that He is God and with Him, delays are an opportunity to glorify Himself,” he said.
