For, false Christ and false prophets shall arise, and shall show signs and wonders to seduce if it were possible, even the elect (Mark 13:22)

From the beginning of Old Testament, they were false prophets; they will forever be until the rapture. And they are more than the genuine ones. Many of us have been victims of false prophets and teachers in their antics. We must understand that at the time of Adam and Eve, Satan played the role of a false teacher by making Eve to believe that the day she would eat the forbidden fruit, her eyes would be open. And they would be as God, knowing good and evil. Eve believed and tasted the forbidden fruit, and gave same to her husband. The consequence of that spread to all that are born of woman (Gen. 3:13). Through that Satan deception, the entire human race was affected; hence many are of the family of the devil. Some are his daughters and sons; some are his friends; messengers and agents. Many of these false prophets and teachers operate with marine powers, thereby representing Queen of Coast. Some are occultic, using various charms and pretending to be pastors, men of God, even Bishops with all sort of titles, some are dogs that go back to their vomit 2Peter 2:22b.

We shall know them by their fruits. They are not serving God, rather, they are serving Satan. We have been cautioned not to believe every spirit but test whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world (1John4:1).

Genuine prophets are God’s spokesmen and women in the church who are there to edify the saints, warn their countries and bring God’s words with power upon their consciences and hearts. They are to say exactly whatever God has asked them to tell the church members.

In 2Cor. 11:13-14 contrast the works of false prophets and teachers as of the flesh. They cook up stories, some may be true, but that does not make the person true prophet of God. God must choose one and the person will be confirmed and ordained by the church authority. Another terrible thing that has eaten deep into the church today are testifiers. They are, as evil as, false prophets and teachers. They are advertising lies as miracles of God in the church falsely in order to draw attention and get help from the congregation. Why are all these evils happening in the church today at increasing rate? Evil people are out to deceive good people of God. The Church is mixed multitude.

Satan has captured many people to himself and is still doing so with different strategies. Paul says ‘when I have gone, savage wolves will arise among you. Act 20:29; Rev. 2:9, those of synagogue of Satan were seeing The Smyrna church as poverty stricken church, but the Lord said they are rich. The word of God has not told us that heaven is for the crowd. It is for the very few. Why? Many are called but few are chosen. How do we know the authentic prophets and who ordains them?

The word of God says by their fruits we shall know them in Eph4:11-12. And some He gave apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of saints, and edifying the body of Christ. The appointment is by Holy Spirit. The training for perfection is by the Holy Spirit, and the church. When church fails to consult the Holy Spirit in cases of who does what, when and who gets what then carnality is setting in Act 6:1-9.

Bible is perfect on how things should be done in the church even where a child of God is entrusted with an assignment, he/she must prove that he/she is Christ’s Ambassador. Other issues are appointment, promotion, assignment, or channel of responsibility in the church. Church should allow the Holy Spirit to speak on who will do this or that. And should not be in a hurry. Do not take any action without the Holy Spirit speaking.

A child of God is expected to defend and propagate the faith, as well as, resist false teaching and prophets in the following ways: (i) strive to be Holy and remain holy (ii) study the word of God and make effort to know the truth, and live by it through prayer in the Spirit. We must pray for the enabling power of the Holy Spirit i.e. to inspire, reveal, guide, energise, sustain and help us to do battle in our prayers. We must be faithful in obedience to God and His word John 15:9-10. We should wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and always have eternity in view.

False teachers are savage wolves
Fake prophets are after money, immorality, their works are to deceive and manipulate their victims. There are many people who are ready to fall for them, because many of such people prefer to believe lies. Fake prophets are increasing unabated.

When people go to rivers and oceans for power, who is giving them the power? If you do not know there is headquarters of marine power. God’s prophets should be after your relationship with God.

Remember, when the Lord asked which is the greatest commandment, He said (Matt 22:37-39), you shall love the Lord your God with all heart, with your soul and with all your mind. This is first and great commandment. And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbour as yourself, where is that love in the church or among members? Every one who calls him/herself a prophet and cannot discern by the Spirit of God, about your holy living or sinful life or your relationship with God cannot solve your problem. Whatever he/she does cannot be from God neither can that open the door of heaven. Satan does not lead saints. He is only to kill and destroy unstable ones. Unfortunately, many are going to where the power of Satan is manifesting, thinking they are serving the living God. In every church today, how many can we say that are ready for rapture, come what may.

The seven churches in Revelation (2:8 and 3:7 Smyrna and Philadelphia should be a mirror for our churches. Pastors and workers, remember to always remind the workforce and others of Rev. 20:11-15 that anyone whose name is not found in the book of life ends up in the lake of fire forever. No one has excuse to end up in hell because it is a matter of one’s choice while on earth. Jon 6:61-66; Act 20:28-30; 1Tim 4:1; Matt10:16; 2 Cor. 11:13-14; John 8:44; Rev. 2:8; 3:7.
