The Bishop of Lagos West Diocese, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd. James Olusola Odedeji has urged those in authority to make judicious use of their positions while in office. He said they had limited time to work and make meaningful impact.

Noting that every position held is not a right but a privilege, the Bishop said time does not wait for anybody and officeholders must make haste to make impact.

He gave the advice at the Investiture service of Mr. Obafemi Olawale Ogunbiyi as the President of Diocesan Guild of Stewards, Lagos West Diocese and induction of some principal officers of the Guild held at Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral, Ikeja, Lagos.

The cleric explained that he does not pray for success; rather, he always prays to make impact on the church and mankind.

He said it is vital for individuals, especially Christian leaders to be faithful to enable them handle their God-given talents.

Odedeji, who assured that grace would abound, when leaders are faithful and sufficiently empowered for higher responsibilities, added that there is divine commendation for those who are faithful.

Ogunbiyi promised to focus more on discipline, saying though orderliness exists, there is need to curb indiscipline in the diocese.

He also urged the church to be more proactive than before, saying the situation in the country demands it.
