In the didactic Psalm 27 (a Psalm of Devotion, Revelation, Instruction, Prayer and Warfare), David acknowledged the LORD as his present tense LIGHT, SALVATION, STRONGHOLD and FORTRESS. Despite all the negative demonic currents flowing in his direction, he publicly declared the LORD, JEHOVAH, YAHWEH THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, ELOHIM Himself as his Light, Stronghold and Fortress.

David knew three conspicuous negative forces that were constantly fighting him. He calls them (1) THE WICKED (2) ENEMIES (3) FOES; that these enemies were coming regularly to eat up his flesh – to carry out acts of witchcraft against him. David chose not to be afraid because he has found an impregnable place of safety and protection. David showcased the best hiding place despite the army of wickedness, battle of witchcraft and ferocious evil that had conspired to terminate his life. Psalm 27: 4-5 “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple; For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His PAVILION: in the secret of His TABERNACLE shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon A ROCK.” It is obvious that as we live in this world, we are not likely to be loved by everyone. Not everyone will support our progress and success. Not everyone will believe in our positive dreams and expectations.

David was not taking chances. He was going to tabernacle permanently in the tabernacle of the LORD. He uses Five words to describe his hiding places (1) The Presence of the LORD (2) The House of the LORD (3) Tabernacle of the LORD (4) The Pavilion of the LORD (5) The Rock of the LORD. All through the battle of his life, David was victorious over King Saul, the Amalekites, Philistines, Internal and External enemies, etc., because of his formidable synergistic connection with the Almighty God. Today, the question is: is the God of David available? Yes.

The Living God of Heaven and Earth is available in CHRIST JESUS. 2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be UNTO GOD, which ALWAYS CAUSETH us to triumph in CHRIST and maketh manifest the Savour of His knowledge by us in every place.” We have a Living God who will cause us to triumph as He fights for us and we follow His instructions. Joshua 10:42 “And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.” Through the Cross of JESUS CHRIST, the Power of wickedness, witchcraft and evil have been broken. We have a Name at which every knee must bow. Colossians 2: 14-15 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

Like David, run to the LORD with the Battles of your life. The Name of the LORD is a STRONG TOWER, the Righteous run to the LORD and they are kept safe. Psalm 37: 39-40 “But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble; and the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.” In this world of wickedness, witchcraft and evil, you will always overcome through the Power of God’s Presence, the Power of His Holy Name, the Power of the Blood of the Lamb and through God’s strategic instructions. If you belong to God, you will triumph over evil because whatever is born of God overcomes the world. 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.” 1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
