YOU must know why you are on earth, what your mission is. Some people out there can be a distraction to fulfilling God’s appointed mission for your life. Therefore, avoid distractions. For every mission, there is someone that is directing it. Just like when soldiers go out to a battle, they say that they are embarking on a mission; there is someone in authority. Having identified the mission, the next thing should be submission. You cannot fulfil the mission without learning the act of submission. You need to submit to the person directing the mission. When a baby girl is born in a family, there are three major things the parents usually want the girl to accomplish in life.

First, is to train the girl to become somebody, professionally. There is no way you can fulfil these missions except you learn the act of submission to the person appointed to train you. You cannot be above your trainer.  You will continue to fail and remain in one position. The second mission is the issue of marriage. It starts first with courtship; the man looks for the sign of submission in the woman. Irrespective of the woman’s position, she must learn to submit to the man God has placed above her. Failure to submit, the relationship will continue to hit the rock.

In Ephesians 5:22-24, the Bible says: “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Saviour. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” As long as whatever the husband says to the wife is in line with the word of God, she must submit to him.

Third, giving birth to children cannot be possible except the woman submits. So, a woman cannot succeed except these three basic requirements are in place.

The act of submission is not only meant for women but also for men. For every man, there is an authority placed over him and until the man learns to submit to that authority, he cannot move forward in life.

In 1 Samuel 9:1-25, we read the story of how Saul set out to look for donkeys that were missing and along the way, he ended up in Samuel’s house, according to God’s plan.
