ALL through Biblical History, we have overwhelming evidences of the effects of POTENT PRAYERS.

Potent prayers were prayers that brought positive changes to hopeless and hapless humanity – prayers that were effective, effectual and productive.

The Word of God declares that potent prayers always make TREMENDOUS POWER AVAILABLE, DYNAMIC IN ITS WORKING.

James 5:16 (AMP) “Confess to one another therefore your faults, your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins and pray also for one another, that you may be healed and restored to a spiritual tone of mind and heart.

The earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working.”

God the Father invites us to pray. Jeremiah 33:3 “CALL UNTO ME AND I WILL ANSWER THEE and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.”

JESUS, God the Son teaches us that men ought always to pray and not to faint.

Luke 18:1 “And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that MEN OUGHT ALWAYS TO PRAY and not to faint.”

And the HOLY SPIRIT comes TO PRAY THROUGH us establishing the will of God in our lives.

Romans 8:26 “Likewise THE SPIRIT also helpeth our infirmities: for we know what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered.”

Our impetus and motivation to pray potent prayers is based on the attributes of God, His Holy Word and His past historical intervention in the affairs of men.

It must be established that God HEARS and ANSWERS prayers. Psalm 65:2 “O THOU THAT HEAREST PRAYER, unto thee shall all flesh come.”

Jeremiah 33:3 “CALL UNTO ME AND I WILL ANSWER THEE and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

The Creator of human ears hears our communication with Him. He does not only hear, HE ANSWERS.

He is described as the GOD THAT ANSWERS BY FIRE in 1 Kings 18:24 “And call ye on the name of your gods and I will call on the Name of the LORD; AND THE GOD THAT ANSWERETH BY FIRE, LET HIM BE GOD.”

He also performs on the behalf of distressed humanity who call upon Him. Genesis 30:22 “And God remembered Rachael and GOD HEARKENED TO HER and opened her womb.” God hearkened to Rachael.

We are encouraged to pray when we see what God did in the lives of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Rachael, JABESH, Hannah, Asa and others in the New Testament.

Whatever we need in life IS AVAILABLE in large quantities with God.

Even if it is not in existence; through prayers, it can be created. John 14:14 “If ye shall ask anything in My Name; I will do it.”

There is no SUPPLY problem with DIVINITY, there is only a DEMAND problem with HUMANITY. Matthew 7: 7-8 “Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you: FOR EVERY ONE THAT ASKETH, RECEIVETH; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.”

Today, take time to pray what God has promised you. Pray to God and remind Him of His promises.

Heaven is waiting for your call. Do not go on vacation in your prayer life. Never turn coward. Be persistent.

The effect of your potent prayer cannot be quantified. Psalm 50:15 “And CALL UPON ME in the day of trouble; I WILL DELIVER THEE and thou shalt glorify Me.”
