About 646 Administrative officers and computer secretaries attended the four-day yearly programme of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Administrators’ Conference with the theme: “Expanding the church frontier through effective and efficient administration.” This year’s 9th edition held at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Speaking on the last day of the event, Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Admin/Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, described those that manage the church, while the pastor concentrates on spiritual areas, as critical. He said RCCG administrators in addition to their degree certificates are also professionals and members of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) among others. While urging them to be true professionals, the cleric said administrators are men and women of integrity in their areas of calling.

He charged them to return to their respective locations and prove themselves as efficient administrators of the Church.

He also reminded Nigerian leaders that training is a continuous thing, even in government ministries for national growth.

The Director, Admin and Personnel, Pastor Rotimi Adegborioye, who commended the programme, said every person must consistently improve himself with a view to keeping abreast with the development in the world.

“We hold conference yearly to look at the areas of their deficiencies and close the gap with a view to doing things better, cheaper and faster. It is also to reduce the stress they always pass through because of the demanding nature of their job. We are happy that over the years, the conferences have been effective because we no longer hear the usual complaints that border on deficiency,” he said.

The President, RCCG Administrators and Regional Administrator, Region 1, Pastor Adebayo Oluwaseun Julius said the essence of the conference was to intimate the administrators with new ideas and innovations to be relevant in a changing world.
