Strategic planning

Pastor David Adeoye

You must have a working plan on how to achieve your vision, in order to live a life of excellence.

You need an action plan that will lead you step by step towards achieving your dream. Lack of plan is the reason behind time and resources wastage.

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it” Luke 14:28(NKJV).

Before taking the first step towards your vision, a strategic planning must be done.

There is a popular saying in the corporate world, “First things first.” Strategic planning is the first thing in the pursuit of a vision.

In construction, the plan of the building is done first, before the building commences. Nobody gets to site digging without a plan.

A business with a strategic plan creates a corporate identity in the marketplace easily.

Your plan shapes your decisions, while your decision shapes your identity over a period of time.

Strategic planning will help you fully uncover your available options, set priorities for them, and define the methods to achieve them.

Without strategic plan, vain pursuit is certain.

“And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.

And this is how you shall make it: the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.

You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side.

You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks,” Genesis 6:13-16(NKJV).

God gave Noah the plan for the ark before the construction. The plan God gave Noah made the construction of the ark easier and faster.

With a strategic plan, your journey towards achieving your vision will be easier and faster. A wise man said, “When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.”

We all have the potential to attain excellence in life, business and career, but those who fail to plan, no matter how gifted they are, they may find achieving their vision difficult.

I want to encourage you to sit down and prayerfully draw out a strategic plan for your life, business and career.

Knowing where you are going and how to take steps towards your destination is vital.

I pray that God will give you divine wisdom to draw out a strategic plan towards achieving your vision.
