The two-day special interdenominational crusade of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries held between September 23 and 24, 2017, at its headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos, ended with spectacular testimonies. At the event, people with diverse health challenges were cured, just like the barren came with their babies, as well as those that gave their lives to Christ, among others.

Of note was the testimony shared by Miss Giggifty Nimo, a Ghanaian, who said she was delivered from marine spirits. Narrating her case to The Guardian, she said: “I was very young, when I was initiated into the marine kingdom. My pleas that I’m a Christian fell on deaf ears, as my family insisted that I must serve the marine spirit. After accepting to serve the marine goddess, they would appear to me from time to time and direct me on what to do, whether it is good or not. If I refused to obey, they would beat me mercilessly.

On several occasions, I was taken to the church in Ghana for deliverance and in an attempt to deliver me, two of the pastors died. In fact, right inside the church, the spirits would appear in the presence of the pastors and would take me away for seven days, and I would be under the river. After seven days, they would bring me out with white cloth and white chalk on my body. And though I threw away the cloth, but they would not stop disturbing me. It became so bad that in 2010, my brothers said I should come to Nigeria, as they had discovered churches where I could get delivered.

“I have attended several churches just to be free, but to no avail. However, God delivered me in July this year, after suffering for 33 years in the hands of those Marine spirits.”

Addressing newsmen on the vision of the programme with the theme: “God’s blessing for higher level,” General Overseer of the church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka noted that God has designed the programme to lift His people to another level and through the miracles, God’s Name is advertised to the whole world and many will be drawn to Christ.

On his message to Nigerians, the cleric urged all and sundry to embrace God as the only solution for the country’s predicaments. He said they should also recognise what the ministry is doing for the country.

“This ministry is standing as a blessing to Nigeria and to the whole world. In this church, we change Nigeria’s economy and government helps us to announce it. So, Nigerians and our leaders should draw closer to God and embrace the message of the Lord’s Chosen, because they are among the 10 billion souls mandate that God has given to us,” he said.
