Christians and by extension Nigerians have been charged to wait on the Lord, no matter the enormity of challenges ahead of them.

The General Overseer of Christ Healing Evangelical Church (CHEC), Pastor Samuel Babatunde Ogunfowokan, who made the call during his Palm Sunday Thanksgiving sermon tagged: “Removal of Hindrance to Revival” at the church headquarters in Ketu, Lagos, assured Christians of God’s divine actualisation of His promise in their lives.

Quoting copiously from the Bible, the cleric reminded the worshippers of God’s anger against the children of Israel for their impatience and disobedience to His dictates, by worshipping idols. He added that God is full of love for those who would wait for His promises. He cited the obedience of Abraham and king Solomon and how He blessed them.

“God’s promises never fail, as the omnipotent God would always honour His words far more than His Name at all times. Therefore, let us continue to do good with ceaseless prayers and have absolute faith in Him,” he said.
