Customs makes 596 seizures, rakes in N8.6b in six months
The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ Ikeja, Lagos has realized about N8.6 billion from intercepted contrabands and duty received on imported goods in the last six months.
New import process guidelines take effect July 11
The new guidelines are primarily to avert unnecessary delays at the ports, as processes become cumbersome at the ports due to the haphazard manner in which goods are packed in containers.
Customs generates N1.3b in December
The Public Relations Officer, Customs FoU, Jerry Attah, in a statement on Wednesday said the command intercepted various contrabands with a duty paid value (DPV) of N893.8 million during the period.
