LG gives scholarship to 10 varsity students

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), LG Electronics, recently awards scholarship to the 10 engineering students of University of Lagos that qualified in this year’s scholarship scheme.

According to the firm, they were awarded the scholarship with cheques and gift items for their hard work, diligence and determination in their studies.

The beneficiaries were selected from various levels in the faculties of engineering of the institution based on their grade points which stood them apart from their contemporaries as best students.

According to the firm, the initiative is designed as an annual event that would grant the beneficiaries the opportunity to work with the company for their industrial attachment for the duration of four months.

Also, upon completion of their degree and the compulsory National Youth Service programme, LG said they would be offered paid internship programme and would be absolved into the mainstream of the company’s workforce if found worthy in learning and character.
