#Recall Gilbert Nnaji, & Solomon Adeola Olamilekan in line with sect. 69 A&B of the 1999 constitution as ammended.
For daring to support exploitative price fixing by NCC, with regard to data services by telecom operators in Nigeria. Section 69a & 69b should be invoked against Gilbert Nnaji (Chairman) Solomon Adeola Olamilekan (Vice chairman) senate committee on communication. It’s time we begin to take affirmative actions with respect to how we are governed. We don’t need to suffer their reckless, irresponsible & ineptitude conduct till 2019, the time to act is now.
Sec. 69:- A member of the Senate or of the House Representatives may be recalled as such a member if –
(a) there is presented to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission a petition in that behalf signed by more than one-half of the persons registered to vote in that member’s constituency alleging their loss of confidence in that member; and
(b) the petition is thereafter, in a referendum conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission within ninety days of the date of receipt of the petition, approved by a simple majority of the votes of the persons registered to vote in that member’s constituency.
This is calling on all patriotic Nigerians that the time has come for us to start affirming our rights as citizens by having a say in how we are governed(in a democracy, the people ultimately decide what the laws should be,) we should mobilise now and get voters in their respective constituency to help recalled them back from the national assembly. Professionals for change, YIAGA, organised labour, & other Civil Society Organisations this call is yours to make.
