Flying Eagles Eye 7th African Title

AFTER beating their Ghanaian counterparts in the semifinal at the ongoing African U-20 Championship in Senegal, the Flying Eagles is set to fly past the host nation, Senegal, in the final tomorrow.

The Nigeria side has been outstanding since the commencement of the Cadet championship and they are looking forward to crown their efforts with a seventh title.

The Coach Manu Gabar tutored team had previously defeated Senegal in the opening game of the championship.

The assistant coach Nduka Ugbade said yesterday that the technical crew had made it clear to the boys not to allow any form of distraction to affect their performance in the final.

“We are ready for the final against Senegal. We have warned the players to fight like wounded lions in the final,” Ugbade said.

Also speaking ahead the final, Golden Eaglets Coach Emmanuel Amuneke, said in a chat with The Guardian yesterday that the Flying Eagles have what it takes to win the title.
