Psalm 91:15 “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE, I will deliver him, AND HONOUR HIM”.

ONE of the unqualified privileges of our relationship with God is His desire to bestow His honour upon us. When God bestows His honour upon you, you enjoy “distinguished respect and dignity”. Life is worthless without divine honour. Human honour is most of the time political and sometimes hypocritical.

But when God honours you, your life will be meaningful. All those that received divine honour in the Scripture were distinguished in their generations. Joseph, Joshua (Joshua 3:7- “And the LORD said unto Joshua, this day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee”), David and even our LORD JESUS, enjoyed divine honour. Philippians 2:9-10 “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name, which is above every name: That at the Name of JESUS, every knee should bow, of all things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”.

The Scripture declares that BOTH RICHES AND HONOUR COME FROM GOD. 1 Chronicles 29:12 “Both riches and honour come of Thee, and Thou reignest over all, and in Thine hand is power and might; and in Thine hand it is to make great; and to give strength unto all”.

Some people say that they have riches but they do not have honour. In our world today, honour is a rare virtue, yet divine dignity and distinguished respect are available in the Kingdom of God. Just like in the days of king Ahaserus. Esther 6:6 “So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, WHAT SHALL BE DONE UNTO THE MAN WHOM THE KING DELIGHTS TO HONOUR?” God delights to bestow honour on His people. The Scripture declares that God is a Rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6. One of the by-products of our faith and trust in God is the acquisition of divine honour overtime. Nahum 1:7 “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble, and HE KNOWETH THEM THAT TRUST IN HIM”. God is intimately acquainted with those that put their trust in Him. It is amazing that God promises to be with us in times of trouble. Psalm 91:15 “…. I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE”.

What a privilege that God gets into our trouble when we are in trouble. 1 Samuel 2:30 “ … but now the LORD saith, FOR THEM THAT HONOUR ME I WILL HONOUR, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed”. God has promised to honour those who honour Him. We become recipients of divine honour, when we honour the LORD with our lives. It is part of divine honour for God to answer our prayers, deliver us from troubles, lift us into dignity and grant us long life. As a matter of fact, we do not lose anything by trusting God, serving Him and honouring Him with our lives. Job 36:11 “If they obey and serve Him, they shall SPEND THEIR DAYS IN PROSPERITY; and their years in pleasures”. Proverbs 15:33 “The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom and before honour is humility”. As you reverence the LORD in worship and service, Jehovah God will surely bestow His honour upon your life.
PRAYER: father God, I humble myself before You. I position myself to serve You, obey Your Word and honour You with my life. I declare JESUS CHRIST, as the absolute LORD of my life. I choose to honour God daily with my life. Thank You LORD for bestowing Your honour upon my life.
