Abiara Congratulates Buhari, Osinbajo
THE General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Kayode Abiara, has attributed the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly elections to the will of God.
Commending Nigerians for coming out en masse to exercise their franchise during the elections, the Evangelist said: “The results of the elections are God’s will. I thank Nigerians and the Electoral Commission for giving peace a chance to reign supreme. Your conduct during the elections has portrayed Nigeria as a democratic nation to be reckoned with in the world.”
The cleric commended the promptness of President Goodluck Jonathan in congratulating General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner.
“The outgoing President’s action showed him as a man that respects the rule of law and a person with great sportsmanship spirit,” he said
While congratulating Nigerians and politicians for the great achievement, Abiara thanked religious leaders, especially Christians and Muslims for praying fervently to God for a peaceful conduct of the elections.
He advised the losers to take it in good faith, adding that they should prepare to team up with the elected President to move the country forward.
He prayed God to grant the incoming administration of General Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo the wisdom and knowledge to do that, which is right in the sight of God.
“I congratulate the INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, INEC officials and security officers for a job well done,” he said.
