An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Thursday ordered the remand of 50-year-old Samson Odusina after he pleaded guilty to driving with an expired vehicle license.

Odusina, whose address was not provided, was charged with a three-count charge bothering on reckless driving, obstruction of public road, and driving with an expired vehicle license.

The defendant, who pleaded not guilty to the first two charges, however, pleaded guilty to the third count-charge of driving with an expired vehicle license.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, therefore, remanded Odusina in a correctional facility until Feb. 14, for review of facts and judgment, subsequently.

Adeola, however, granted Odusina bail in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties in like sum, for the two-count-charge he pleaded not guilty to.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olarotimi told the court that Odusina committed the offences on Feb. 12 at about 2.10 p.m at Apata Area of Ibadan.

Olarotimi said Odusina drove in a dangerous and reckless manner without due regard to other road users.

He said the defendant also drove with an expired vehicle license and obstructed public road, thereby preventing others access to the road.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened Section 81 of Road Traffic Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
