Mbu Vows To Clamp Down Traffic Robbers, Land Grabbers In Lagos, Ogun
THE Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Jospeh Mbu has vowed to clamp down on armed robbers who operate in traffic in Lagos and Ogun states.
The AIG, who is the supervisor of the Commissioners of Police in Lagos and Ogun States, also vowed to curtail the activities of land grabbers who use gullible police officers to perpetrate evil on landowners in the states.
The AIG, who addressed newsmen on the launch of the new ‘Safer Highway’ project of the IGP Solomon Arase, noted that highway armed robberies would soon become a thing of the past.
Mbu said: “We are here because of the ‘Safer Highway’ patrol vehicles acquired by the police to fight crime on our highways. We would write our phone numbers on the vehicles so that whenever members of the public sight these vehicles where they are not supposed to be, they can call us so that we would know how to discipline our men.
