
About 600 cows were slaughtered and distributed in an event that was witnessed by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’adu Abubakar and high government functionaries.

Another beneficiary, Tokunbo Ahmed, an ophan, said: “Thanks be to Almighty Allah for giving us means for this celebration. I don’t know how it would have turned out without the gift from the Foundation.
Spokesperson for the group, Mr. Cemal Yigit, said the beneficiaries, which include orphans, widows, elderly, disabled and the very poor, were selected by local representatives
“This generous deed by NTIC Foundation has sparked a light of happiness in the in the hearts of many people,” he said.
“It was a breath of pleasure for our representatives to see these people express their gratitude and celebrate in the joy and merriment of the event.
“That’s why part of our motto is ‘Let there be no troubled souls to whom you do not offer a hand and about whom you remain unconcerned. On behalf of NTIC family, we express our deep happiness for having a peaceful celebration in whole Nigeria,’” he added.
NTIC’s executive committee established the NTIC Foundation to perform charity activities, after founding the NTIC earlier in 1998 “to enlighten students around the country and contribute significantly in raising and grooming the golden generation for Nigeria’s great future.”
