The Church Advised To Help Nurture Youth Talent

The church has been tasked to be agent of nurturing abundant youth talent in the country so as to stem the rising tide of unemployment.

The church has been tasked to be agent of nurturing abundant youth talent in the country so as to stem the rising tide of unemployment. A fast-growing gospel artiste and convener of unity concert tagged Praise Him in Your Language, Mr. Sunny Irakpo, also known as D.Silec Master, who ministered in songs at a recent church convention, said there was need for the church to discover, develop and invest heavily in the lives of talented Nigerian youths deposited in them by God.

Irakpo was speaking at the yearly convention of Household of Love Church, Badore, Lekki, Lagos.
According to the gospel crooner, “The church must go back to the drawing board and contribute to nation-building apart from the spiritual guidance it renders. With the rate of unemployment in Nigeria becoming alarming and sky-rocketed yearly, the church can help young people nurture their talent so they can contribute to society”.

Irakpo challenged all churches to emulate the founder of Household of Love Church, Rev. and Mrs. Yinka Yusuf, and reach out to youths to explore their innate talents for positive results and the overall well-being of society.

The convention had many gifted youths who were given a platform to showcase their talents. The Niger Delta-style singer commended Rev. Yusuf and his wife for always providing a unique and godly platform to refine youth characters and talents.

He noted, “The church has what its takes to make talented youths comfortable because the church has two major advantages – the platform and the population – which are basic for talents to fly high”.

Also featuring at this year’s convention of the church were Geofrey Orji, Shola, Bornbless, Kudy Spice, Jeff Richard, Blessed Generation of Household of Love Church and many others.
