Residents of Kano were on Sunday treated to an evening of fun and laughter courtesy of the on-going Glo Laffta Fest, packaged by national telecommunications operator, Globacom.

It was a highly exhilarating experience for guests who attended the show in their thousands as comedians, particularly the trio of De Don, Bovi and Basketmouth put up spectacular performances, which left the audience reeling in bouts of laughter throughout the duration of the event.

De Don’s jokes which were centered on the harsh economic conditions in the country kept the audience laughing all through his time on the stage while Basketmouth and Bovi delighted the guest with their own brand of jokes.

There was also Mr. Patrick, whose jokes on politics, economy and religion thoroughly thrilled the audience, while Gordons, apart from his retinue of jokes commended the residents of the city for upholding peace and unity in Kano.

Also Funky Mallam, one of the northern stars in Nollywood also kept the audience laughing with a combination of Hausa and English jokes.

The event which was held at the Meena Event Centre, Kano, was anchored by Mercy Johnson-Okojie and Uche Jombo from Nollywood while Kannywood star, Sani Danja, Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo and accomplished Nollywood comic, Victor Osuagwu all made celebrity appearances.

The show in Kano was the 21st edition coming after that  of Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, Calabar, Uyo, Ibadan, Benin, Ijebu Ode, Lagos, Kaduna and Suleja which all paraded top comedians in the country.

The University town of Anyigba in Kogi State will host the next edition of the show. Other cities that will host the show in the weeks ahead include Lokoja, Port Harcourt for the second time, Onitsha, Makurdi and Ajah.
