Lauryn Hill To Storm Nigeria For Mayday Live

Top American star, Lauryn Hill will storm Nigeria on Friday May 1, for Mayday Live concert. The singer will headline the corporate concert put together by X Media, scheduled to hold at the Eko Hotels and Suites.

The Multiple Grammy Award winner, who will be performing alongside other top local and international act, also confirmed her visit on her twitter account thus “Ms. Hill will be performing in Lagos, Nigeria on May 1 with at maydayliveng”. Hill is best known for being a member of the Fugees and for her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

According to the CEO of x-media Nigeria, Chuma X Ajufor, Mayday Live is aimed at celebrating workers’ day in Nigeria with a rich blend of entertainment, it is a concept created with the aim of celebrating the workers’ day holiday with a little more than just a day off. It creates an avenue for major firms to appreciate colleagues and co-workers by bringing them together annually to celebrate work ethics. It is basically a night of music, laughter and networking”.   This inception of Mayday Live begins with Grammy award winner Lauryn Hill , the only female or as stated “Fugees 1st Lady.” The event will be her first time ever in Nigeria performing to a 20-man Live band, with hit solo songs like her duet with Bob Marley Turn your lights down low, Sweetest thing, Killing me softly, Ready or not amongst others.
