It used to be a lot more common for the majority of entrepreneurs to be male. However, in recent years the number of female entrepreneurs in the world has been on the rise.

There are many amazing success stories to be heard from some of these wonderful women which amongst them is Bukkykoga, whose real name is Bukonla Ifedayo Esan, the founder of BKGlam group.

BKGlam comprises of the event-planning outfit, BKGlam Events and the fashion and styling subsidiary, BKGlam International.

The Nigerian, who is also a British citizen, has established herself as a force in the event planning sector as well as also transformed into a force to reckon with in the business of fashion and styling for society’s creme de la creme.

Lagos-born Bukkykoga, who studied Business Administration and Human Resources at Plymouth University, UK, had set up her business in 2015, two years after her graduation.

In just six years, the BKGlam group has grown to become entrenched in London and Lagos, as one of the foremost celebrity-focused businesses. Presently, BKGlam Events tops the list of options often explored by socialites who want their wedding, birthday celebrations or other parties to have a touch of class and style.

The outfit has built a solid reputation from its track record of being the force behind some of the biggest talk-of-the-town parties of the past five years. Similarly, BKGlam International, the fashion and styling business, has also experienced a boom, easily becoming the official personal custom wear label to a lot of music and movie stars at big media events over the past two years. The latest testament came from the May 14, 2022, Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA, where stars (including Nollywood’s Toyin Abraham) acknowledged their apparel came from the BKGlam label.

Without a doubt, the high-flying BKGlam CEO, an advocate of hard work, is, among others, an illustrious example, a role model to young Nigerians who are aspiring to become self-made entrepreneurs.
