Cheekychizzy drops new single ‘Anti Social’
…Becomes voting member of Grammy Academy
American based Nigerian singer, songwriter, producer and sound engineer Chisom Ifeachor popularly known as Cheekychizzy who was recently inducted as a voting member of the [prestigious Grammy Academy has just released a new song titled ‘Anti Social’.
The single is off his forthcoming EP called “SHMITA” set to drop later in the year. The new song ‘Anti Social” is a solo rendition produced, performed and written by Cheekychizzy who has been an active force in the Nigerian music space and growth of afrobeat over the last decade was a member of Dbanj’s DB records for many years before he relocated to Los Angeles after the 2020 pandemic.

The Recording Academy invited more than 2,000 people to become voting members and more than 600 additional people to become professional (non-voting) members. The Academy has been aggressive in recent years about expanding and diversifying its membership. It currently has more than 12,000 voting members and more than 3,000 professional (non-voting) members.

The Grammys official social media accounts also confirmed the new memberships saying, ‘Congratulations to the 2,700+ music professionals from wide-ranging backgrounds, genres, and disciplines, who received a membership invitation from the Recording Academy. Our Academy is only as strong as our membership, and the support of one another cultivates a community and industry that creators and professionals are proud to be a part of The Academy.
Already, his earlier released song ‘Blessings’ featuring Marie Monti has been entered for consideration in the Grammy best world performance category.
