Miss Akwanga International: Organizers call for entry

Boderlands Limited, organizers of Miss Akwanga international, has opened entry for the maiden edition of the pageantry.

The pageant according to the organizers is aimed at celebrating women from different backgrounds, geared towards empowering young women who can’t afford better education and exposure and also give them the right tools that would help them realize their goals, through experiences that build self-confidence and create opportunities for success.

Registration is now open to girls of age 16 to 28 from 13 local governments in Nasarawa state on December 28.

Miss Akwanga international will hold its grand finale on January 2

The sum of Five hundred thousand naira, Three hundred thousand naira and One hundred thousand naira would be won respectively.

Speaking about the event, the organizer and CEO of Boderlands Limited, Zamani Istifanus disclosed that his passion and love for his hometown gave birth to Miss Akwanga International.

He said: “Haven’t been home for a long time now and I felt like it’s time to connect back and also build the bridge through entertainment. I see my people all wasting and it’s very sad seeing many of them working as gatemen in Lagos.

“Interested persons can reach out to the team on our Facebook fan page which is Miss Akwanga International. All they have to do is send us a message and we take it up from there.

“I’m trying to create job opportunities through event shows for them. Although we have no sponsors yet but the acceptance has been amazing”.

Addressing security issues, Zamani said, “Nasarawa is calm, my state is safe when it comes to this. There’s no religious war and most of Nasarawa’s population are Christians”.

Zamani also noted that thirteen finalists would emerge after screening.

“After the screening, we will pick 13 finalists for 3days camping and we are also organizing 2 days countdown shows which is December 31, January 1, and December 2 which is the grande finale.

However, contests must be from any 13 lock governments in Nasarawa.

“The competition is open to both indigene and non indigene”.
