When Enea Kelvin started to think about what she wanted her debut album to be about, there was really only one choice for the singer: God’s Love. Across a life that has seen her experience music in all its variances and finally settle into gospel music after receiving a call from God, the singer was keen to showcase that love and share it with her listeners and fans.

“The message of this album is actually the love of God because I’ve seen God’s love,” the singer said during a chat about the album. God loves me so so much, because of the circumstances that have happened around me, God has proven that he loves me. I am different. I’m his beloved. When you listen to some of the songs, they just try to portray God’s love towards man. What God can do for you if you believe in him. It will let people know how much God loves them, and that no matter the situation, no matter what you’ve gone through, no matter who you are or what you’ve done before in the past, when you come to him, he’ll take you back.”

The journey to putting out this album has quite simply been close to a decade in the making with the singer launching her music career in in 2017. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength.

“The album has been long overdue,” she says. “I’ve been singing professionally since 2017. So far, we’ve had some singles that have been released. And we have had songs piled up that we produced a long time ago.

We’ve been saying we’ll get to release the songs, but somehow, we’ll have one thing or the other come in between and we won’t do it.

This is the time. It’s long overdue. There are some songs that God has blessed us with that I believe will reach out to people and bless them. It’s a whole body of work. I got the conviction, and we are ready. We are ready to go out.”

The process of getting the album together was complicated by the geographical distance between Enea and her producers who helped her put the album together.

“The only option was to produce, send to me, and if I listened and I liked it, I worked with it,” she says. “The challenging part is you are not there to say exactly what you want, you are not there one-on-one to work with the producer.” Through it all, she held on to her vision and is overjoyed with the final version of the album that she settled on.

More than anything, the singer is elated to finally put an album out after waiting this long to put her debut out and seeing her fans experience it after a long wait.

“I’m excited,” she says about the release. “I’m happy that finally the world gets to know a body of work from Enea Kelvin, and they get to hear me more. I mean, they have options to listen to in the body of work that we’ve put together. I’m really really excited. People have waited long for this.”
