‘Comment Alez Vous’ crooner, Ikponmwosa Alex Idehen, better known as Gerian is a Nigerian born Singer, songwriter and performer.

He got the people’s attention with his recent hit single which he titled ‘Comment Alez Vous’ and he has placed himself to be one of the promising musical acts to watch out for.

Born on the 11th of September, 1994, into a royal family in Benin City, Edo State, music has been an integral part of his life. He, however, spent his early life in the beautiful city of Benin, Edo State, before he later on moved to Gambia to further his education.

Yet, he still sees music as his calling. He describes his style of music as Afro-Pop, a genre with a blend of Afrobeat & Dancehall.

He has two songs which are available on all streaming platforms titled Matter and Abena which is trending now on TikTok.

Meanwhile, Gerian, since he left The Gambia in a bid to spread his tentacles, has been faced with a lot of challenges. One of the challenges, according to him, has been the acceptance of perceived foreign artiste among the Nigerian music lovers. He said he didn’t get the desired support he felt among Nigerians, yet he is one of them but he didn’t just grow up in the country.

“Coming from The Gambia where I grew up to do music in Nigeria is hell. It’s been difficult it is for me to break into the Nigerian music market because didn’t grow up in Nigeria. Basically it’s difficult to get support from people that matter because it’s like they feel they are coming from the same background so they push themselves. However, I did my very best.”
