Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi and Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho are leading the attack for Nigeria in their first game against Egypt at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021.

Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen named Maduka Okoye in goalkeeping position for Super Eagles opening Group D game against an Egypt side led by Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah.

In the defence, Nigeria has Ola Aina, William-Troost Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo and Zaidu.

Leceister City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi starts in defensive midfield position playing alongside Joe Aribo.

Nigeria’s attack has Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze playing behind Iheanacho and Awoniyi.
