Firm donates breathalyzers, 100 reflective jackets to FRSC

As part of its sustained commitment to promoting responsible drinking and safer roads, Pernod Ricard Nigeria has donated two high-precision breathalysers and 100 reflective safety jackets to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The donation was officially presented during a visit to the Corps’ Lagos office in Ojodu.

Breathalysers are essential tools that measure the blood alcohol concentration helping to identify intoxicated drivers, thereby preventing accidents, and promoting a culture of accountability on the roads.

During the handover,Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Michael Ehindero, represented by Human Resources Director, Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Dr. Joshua Ademuwagun, highlighted the company’s deep-rooted values around responsible consumption and community safety.

He stated: “At Pernod Ricard, we believe in conviviality and the freedom to enjoy life responsibly. This donation empowers the FRSC to enforce road safetyand drives home the message that drinking and driving should never mix.”

The reflective jackets will aid field officers in staying visible and protected while on duty, especially during night patrols and emergencies.

FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G Hamzat, expressed gratitude for the donation and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to reducing road fatalities through strict enforcement and collaboration.
