The management of Dryft, a subsidiary of Global LinkForce, launched in Nigeria amidst economic hardship. Global LinkForce, established in the US in 2018 and officially registered in Nigeria in 2023, initially operated as a shipping company, specializing in international and local cargo and freight services.

According to the founder, Olayinka Sonuga, Dryft identified a gap in the transportation industry, particularly in Nigeria and beyond. He expressed, “We saw challenges related to accessibility, affordability, and reliability of transportation services, and we were driven by the vision of creating positive change in this space. By identifying these challenges as opportunities for innovation, we were inspired to embark on the entrepreneurial path. We believed that by leveraging technology and adopting a people-centric approach, we could develop solutions that not only addressed the existing problems but also enhanced the overall experience for both drivers and passengers.”

Highlighting their passion for impact, Sonuga emphasized, “Our passion for making a meaningful impact, coupled with our unwavering commitment to delivering value-driven solutions, fueled our journey as entrepreneurs. We were driven by the belief that through innovation and determination, we could make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities by offering accessible, affordable, and reliable transportation options.”

Defining Dryft’s uniqueness, he stated, “Dryft isn’t just another ride-hailing app. It’s a comprehensive transportation solution designed to meet the diverse needs of our users. From students needing shuttles within school premises to estate and community residents relying on Keke Napep and shuttle buses, Dryft is accessible to everyone. Our services extend beyond short-distance journeys, offering inter-city rides for those seeking luxury and comfort on the go.”

Addressing affordability, Sonuga explained, “What sets Dryft apart is our unwavering commitment to affordability and accessibility. Unlike other apps that impose high fees and commissions, Dryft offers lower fees for both drivers and passengers, ensuring financial convenience and fostering a mutually beneficial ecosystem within the transportation industry.”

Looking ahead, he shared, “But our journey doesn’t stop there. We’re on the brink of a major milestone – the launch of Dryft. Soon, everyone in our target audience will have access to our services, whether they’re within their school premises, estate, or traveling between cities.”

While its operations are presently exclusive to Lagos, the platform envisions extending its accessible, affordable, and reliable transportation services to a broader scope in the future. “You can find the Dryft app, tailored for drivers under the name Dryft Pilot and for riders as Dryft Rider, on both the Google Play Store and App Store,” he tells us.

Summing up the vision, Sonuga concluded, “At Global LinkForce, we’re not just providing rides; we’re empowering communities, creating opportunities, and shaping the future of transportation. With Dryft, the journey begins – and it’s accessible to all.”
