Monarchs extol Turkish investors, governor over syringe firm’s investment in Akwa Ibom

Royal Fathers in Akwa Ibom State have extolled Turkish investors, owners of Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company (JSM), for bringing an investment that has created jobs for over 200 persons.

The monarchs, Obong E.C.D. Abia, Paramount Ruler of Eket and his counterpart, Edidem Raymond Timothy Inyang, Paramount Ruler of Onna, were on a courtesy visit to the factory in Awa, Onna Local GA.

Speaking during the visit, HRM, Obong Abia said he was delighted that syringe which is one of the major health consumables is produced in Akwa Ibom State. He stated that the company has not only assumed the status of the biggest and leading producer of syringes in Africa, but has also place Akwa Ibom State and its people on the map of the world.

He asserted that the state under Governor Udom Emmanuel, was fast becoming the hub of industries in Africa. 

“Today our youth are trained professionals in syringe production. The Turkish investors are not only training our youth, they are transferring technology to us. Nigerians, especially those from Akwa Ibom State are the ones manning the equipment. This is thrilling to know, and this is what effective leadership entails. 

“We want to encourage the management not to compromise their standard no matter the situation and pressure. We should be able to compete with the very best in the world in terms of quality, and this is what Jubilee Syringe has provided; the best quality. 

“On our part as traditional institution, we will support the state government in providing a conducive and friendly environment for companies to operate successfully”.

Abia, advised the employees especially, indigenes of the state to be hardworking, committed and be of good conduct, and also uphold the standards set by the management.

He advised against unnecessary demands from the people of the community. He called on the people to shun any form of riot and protests against the management, as the future of Jubilee Syringe belongs to the people of the state.

The Chairman and Chief Executive of the firm ,Mr. Emir Kayalioglu and the Managing Director, Mr Zubeyir Gulabi, who is also the Chairman, Syringe and Needle Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the elected Council Member of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria MAN, recieved the royal fathers.

Jubilee Syringe is the largest and leading syringe company in Africa. With production capacity of 400 million syringes yearly, it now has its products in virtually all the hospitals and pharmacies in Nigeria.
