UAC Foods launches Zuri seasoning, enters culinary market

UAC Foods Limited has announced its entry into the seasoning segment with the launch of Zuri Seasoning, marking the company’s diversification within Nigeria’s food and beverage industry.

The new product line aims to meet the growing demand for flavour-rich and convenient cooking solutions among Nigerian households.

According to the company, the development of Zuri was driven by insights into the preferences and habits of modern Nigerian consumers, particularly those seeking to combine convenience with quality and creativity in meal preparation.

“We recognised that while cooking is a fundamental act of love and care, it is often perceived as a tedious duty. Zuri challenges this notion,” said Lovelyn Nnamuchi, Brand Manager, Innovations. “Our mission is to restore fun and creativity to the kitchen, empowering individuals — from homemakers and professionals to students — to create extraordinary meals with ease.”

The product line features four variants — Chicken, Beef, Classic, and Jollof — designed to enhance a range of local and continental dishes.

Speaking during the internal product launch held at the company’s head office, the Managing Director of UAC Foods Limited, Oluyemi Oloyede, explained that the company’s approach to developing Zuri focused on natural ingredients and authentic taste. “We didn’t just want to launch any other seasoning but to develop a product that contains a lot of natural ingredients that delivers on taste, aroma, and flavour,” he said.

General Manager, Commercial, Ayo Awosika, described Zuri as a reflection of UAC Foods’ continued investment in product innovation and its commitment to anticipating shifts in consumer behaviour. “It underscores our commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of the Nigerian consumer. We are not just launching a product; we are launching a new perspective on cooking, one filled with joy, simplicity, and connection,” he said.

Zuri Seasoning will be available nationwide in 10g and 100g packs across open markets, retail stores, and modern trade outlets.
